2. Eligibility and Driver Requirements

2.1 Minimum Age

To rent and drive a vehicle through rentcarinibiza.com, the primary driver must meet the minimum age requirement specified for the selected vehicle category. Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, drivers must generally be at least 21 years old. Certain vehicle categories may require drivers to be 25 years of age or older.

2.2 Driving Licence

All drivers must hold a valid, full driving licence for the required minimum period stated at the time of booking, typically at least 12 months. Drivers must present the original licence at pick-up. International customers may also be required to present an International Driving Permit where required by applicable law or where the licence is not written in Latin characters.

2.3 Identification and Payment Verification

The primary driver must present valid government-issued identification, a passport or national identity card where applicable, and a valid payment card in the driver’s name. 3. Reservations and Booking Confirmation

You are responsible for ensuring that all booking information is accurate, including driver details, rental dates, contact information, and selected services. Errors in submitted information may result in additional charges, booking delays, or cancellation.

4. Prices, Payments, Deposits, and Additional Charges

4.1 Rental Rates

Rental rates displayed on rentcarinibiza.com are those applicable at the time of booking and may include or exclude taxes, insurance options, fuel policies, airport or delivery fees, and optional extras depending on the offer selected. Final pricing will be shown before payment and confirmed in your booking summary.

4.2 Security Deposit

We may require a refundable security deposit at vehicle collection to cover potential damage, missing equipment, traffic fines, excess mileage, refuelling, cleaning, administrative charges, or other amounts due under the rental agreement. The amount of the deposit varies by vehicle category and insurance selection.

4.3 Additional Charges

You agree to pay all charges arising from your rental, including but not limited to late return fees, tolls, parking fees, traffic or administrative fines, damage costs not covered by insurance, cleaning charges for excessive dirt or smoking, replacement of lost keys or documents, and any fees resulting from breach of these Terms.

5. Vehicle Collection, Return, and Rental Period

The rental period begins when the vehicle is delivered to you or made available for collection and ends when the vehicle is returned to an authorized rentcarinibiza.com location or representative and checked in by us. Returning the vehicle outside agreed hours or to an unauthorized location may result in additional fees and continued liability until the vehicle is recovered and inspected.

You must return the vehicle in substantially the same condition as received, subject to fair wear and tear, together with keys, documents, accessories, and any optional equipment. Unless otherwise agreed, the fuel level must comply with the selected fuel policy shown in your booking or rental agreement.

6. Permitted Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree that the vehicle will be driven only by the authorized driver(s) listed in the rental agreement and only for lawful purposes. The following uses are prohibited:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance impairing ability.
• Allowing an unauthorized, unlicensed, or underage person to drive the vehicle.
• Using the vehicle for racing, speed testing, off-road driving, or driver training.
• Transporting passengers or goods for hire, reward, or commercial delivery unless expressly authorized.
• Using the vehicle in a negligent, abusive, or reckless manner.
• Taking the vehicle outside Ibiza or to another island, port, or territory unless expressly permitted in writing.
• Smoking or vaping in the vehicle where prohibited by law or by our vehicle policy.

Breach of this section may void insurance coverage to the fullest extent permitted by law and may make you fully liable for losses or damages.

7. Insurance, Damage, and Liability

Vehicles rented through rentcarinibiza.com may include basic insurance coverage subject to exclusions, deductibles, excess amounts, and conditions set out in the rental agreement. Optional coverage products may be offered to reduce your financial exposure, but they do not eliminate responsibility for all types of loss.

You remain liable for damage, theft, loss, or diminution in value resulting from prohibited use, negligence, failure to secure the vehicle, failure to report an incident promptly, loss of keys, damage to tyres, glass, undercarriage, interior, roof, clutch, or any circumstance excluded by the applicable insurance policy or caused intentionally or recklessly.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, rentcarinibiza.com shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, missed travel arrangements, or loss of enjoyment. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct.

8. Accidents, Breakdown, and Roadside Assistance

In the event of an accident, theft, fire, or damage to the vehicle, you must immediately take all reasonable steps to protect persons and property, notify the police where required, and inform rentcarinibiza.com as soon as possible. You must not admit liability to third parties without authorization. An accident report and any requested supporting documentation must be completed promptly.

If the vehicle suffers a mechanical breakdown not caused by misuse or breach of these Terms, we will make reasonable efforts to provide assistance or a replacement vehicle, subject to availability and location constraints. We are not responsible for accommodation costs, transport disruption, or other indirect expenses arising from breakdown or replacement delays.

9. Cancellation, No-Show, and Refund Policy

Cancellation terms will depend on the booking rate and the notice provided before pick-up. Where a prepaid booking is cancelled within the permitted cancellation window stated at booking, any eligible refund will be processed to the original payment method, less any non-refundable fees clearly disclosed at the time of booking.

If you fail to collect the vehicle at the agreed time without prior notice, fail to present required documentation, fail payment verification, or do not meet driver eligibility requirements, the booking may be treated as a no-show and may be non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel a booking where fraud, pricing error, vehicle unavailability, force majeure, or safety concerns arise, in which case our liability will be limited to refund of amounts paid to us for the affected booking, unless otherwise required by law.

10. Traffic Violations, Tolls, and Administrative Fees

You are solely responsible for all parking charges, tolls, congestion charges, and traffic or regulatory violations incurred during the rental period. Where we receive a notice of violation or are required to identify the driver, we may provide your details to the relevant authority and charge an administrative processing fee in addition to the underlying fine or charge where permitted.

11. Website Use and Intellectual Property

All content on rentcarinibiza.com, including text, logos, graphics, layout, booking functionality, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to rentcarinibiza.com and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
